Stefano Mercaldo

Stefano Mercaldo is co-founder and Managing Partner of Renovarum, sits on its Board of Directors and is its CFO. In 2026 Forbes named him in its 30 Under 30 Europe list, Finance category, presented in Paris, and Forbes Italia included him among its 100 Under 30, also in finance. In the same year he received the Premio Dongu “Giovani che lasciano il segno”.

He began his career in 2020 in transaction services at PwC in Milan. After a period in administration, financial management and control at Alfonsino, from 2022 to 2024 he worked in corporate finance at Accenture, in capital markets and banking, on M&A and IPO transactions. In 2024 he moved to corporate finance and M&A at Iniziativa, and then founded Renovarum Capital with Pietro Reccia.

He has been a chartered accountant since 2020, sits on the Corporate Finance and Start-up Committee of the Caserta Chartered Accountants’ Association and is an AIFO qualified professional.

He graduated from the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli and took a master’s degree in Services Management at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, with a thesis on participating financial instruments and six months at the University of Granada on an Erasmus+ scholarship. In 2023 he attended the first edition of the UniVertis Master in private equity, venture capital and investment banking, and in 2025 the AIFO master in corporate finance, private equity and family office.

Today he returns to the UniVertis Master to present the corporate finance and M&A cases handled by Renovarum, and lectures on master’s programmes at Luiss Business School.

In 2026, together with Pietro Reccia, he launched Renovarum Investments, the investment division of Renovarum Capital, of which he is co-founder and Head of Investment.
